Powering the OGN Set-2 via the network connection has several advantages. An IP end device, e.g. the OGN Set-2, no longer has to be set up in the immediate vicinity of a socket and there is only one outgoing (Ethernet) cable from the receiver. The PoE injector is simply connected on one side to the Ethernet cable of the device to be supplied and connected to a network connection (e.g. switch, etc.). The PoE injector is then plugged into a 230V socket.
